Obituary for William A Wagner

Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ – William A. Wagner, a.k.a. Bill Wagner passed away peacefully at 96 on Monday April 24th, 2023 at his residence with his son, Bob by his side. Bill enlisted in the US Army Air Corp and served in Germany as a Weatherman at Straubing Air Field during WWII. After graduating college he worked as a Combustion Engineer for 40 years. Bill was married in 1952 to his predeceased wife, Anita.  At the time of her death in 2019, they were very happily married for over 66 years. Bill was also a member of the Waldwick, NJ American Legion Post 57 and the VFW Post 1049. He was a long time resident of Ho-Ho-Kus since 1955.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 28th, 2023 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff.  A funeral service will be held on 9:30am on Saturday, April 29th  at the funeral home. Military interment service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Valleau Cemetery in Ridgewood. Contributions in Bill’s memory may be made to the Ho-Ho-Kus Volunteer Fire Department, 52 Sheridan Ave., Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ 07423.
